NeoPencil Classic

I think this pencil is quite good. I like the shape and weight of it, plus the flat sides help it to stay in place and help with holding. Replacement nibs are out there, either from HOZO or other brands that may offer the color/darkness you prefer.
The way the pencil tip works is cool, though I dropped my pencil right after first writing a little bit with it and broke the nib. It was a bit difficult to extract the threaded part with nothing to grip. I would say that’s the only thing I dislike, because it’s not unreasonable to expect the pencil to fall eventually. An easy way to pull out the core of the nib after the top breaks off would be useful.

We have a technical drawer in the house and we know he will love this as he already like writing and drawing utensils of all kinds. It's got a nice metal heft, but not too heavy and it is carefully boxed the protect the 2 replaceable nibs that come with the pencil. I'm glad it also erases normally.

On the plus side, it is weighty, and feels substantial in hand, which I personally love. The weight allows me to control my writing better, especially since I tend to press hard when I write. It erases cleanly and doesn’t smudge as much as a regular pencil, which is a significant advantage. I also appreciate the angular design, which makes the pencil easy to grip

However, I have mixed feelings about the writing output. While the pencil erases well and smudges far less than a regular pencil, the marks it leaves are quite light. I compared it to a BiC 0.7 #2 pencil, and the difference is noticeable. I wanted so much to love this, but it just doesn't show up boldly enough for my liking.

Noe, in fairness, it doesn't write on everything. Cardboard and glossy tagboard, barely makes a mark, but writing paper? It's like a classic lead pencil. I like the heavy feel of the aluminum (at least I assume it is aluminum). I'll have a lot of fun with this. Let's hope I don't lose it!

This is such a unique product. I know they’ve been around a while but I’ve never used one. It writes just like a pencil, and it erases very easily as well. It came with two tips, which is nice.

I found it showed up better on white paper versus my lined notebook paper. I had to write a little harder for it to show up. I’m not accustomed to using pencils, so it could just be me.
