This HOZO NeoRulerGO Digital Tape Measure is great and I really like it, it definitely brings a lot of functionality and practicality to your day to day work or even around the house when you just need to measure something quickly and precisely. I was looking for something similar that combines different measurements and can quickly switch between inches and centimeters, happy to see that this little tool by Hozo brings all that functionality that I needed.
Hozo's digital tape measure comes in a great compact retail package that is displaying a lot of information about the product inside, technical data and specifications plus some information about the company as well, inside you have the digital tape measure, small printed in English user manual, USB-A to USB-C charging cable and an extra rubber replacement wheel cover.
Now the tape measure itself is made very solid, very high quality with an aluminum and solid ABS polycarbonate body, is compact and houses the 300Mah battery that is lasting for quite a long time.
In addition the little digital tape measure has a built-in Bluetooth and can be connected to any smart device utilizing the free Meazor app, with that addition all of your measures can be easily transferred to various software tools and saved in a database, so for example if want to use it AutoCAD that is possible and fairly easy to be done.
What I really like about this digital tape measure is the ability to measure not perfect surfaces, in other words inner length of round objects, broken up different shapes, clothing, cylindrical, oval and many other shapes. I love the small screen integrated on the tape measure where you can easily keep an eye on the data and switch between the different scales, and speaking of scales there are 93 different scales built in, that includes 52 US and 41 metric ones. And last but not least there is a precision laser on board that can help with the accuracy of the measures.
Overall, a great little digital tape measure, I can definitely recommend it.

Con: Expensive

Positive: Expensive (great gift), plenty of spare writing tips (black), spare rubber tyre, excellent design, high quality metal finish, high quality leather case, connect to smart phone for easy measurment recording.

It does take some time to learn how to use the wheel as it is really sensitive to movement and it is super accurate. The laser crosshair really helps with aligning the start and finish on any curve surfaces. For a straight line I still find using the tape measure is more direct but whan I need to measure curve for my laser rotating chuck this device is a game changer.

It does not need to change battery and can be charged via a USBc port, the display is behind a matt plastic cover and it is in colour. Easy to ready and the unit can be converted to mm, cm, feet etc with a click of the button.

The 2 metal pens has a good weight to them, each pencil base has lots of spare tips built in, I will not need to buy any extra tips as there are even more tips included with the pen boxes.

This digital tape measure with laser is the coolest gadget ever. I do a lot of measuring for my cricut designs and some designs can be awkward when needing to take the measurement for. With this device I can to curve and, I love that it's a smart long distance rolling measuring tool. The qaulity is excellent, and makes a nice gift to give to a handy man.

Unpacking the widgets that make up this device was quite the amusing challenge. The precision with which these widgets were packed is astounding. (Just look at the picture.) And inside the perfectly aligned (7) boxes are other boxes, compartmentalized to fit each accessory for this device. The devotion to precision speaks to the commitment to accuracy of the engineers of this device.
This device is ingenious. Whether your an architect or a decorator, or if you’re designing or building a birdhouse, or if you want to know how long your hike will really be (it scales from a trail map!) — or in the case of my son, is you’re cutting a pattern for the streetwear you’ve just designed.
I wish the screen were brighter on the device. I wish I was less confused by the functions of the left and right buttons. I wish the instructions were better, more specific, and much longer. But there’s an APP! (more on that later)
The device itself is the size of a keychain and half its weight. In fact, the device comes with a leather sheath and a keyring to attach to your keychain.
I think you can see for yourself all the accessories that come with the NeoRuler. But what you don’t see on the Amazon site are the surprises in the box. And I’m not talking about all the extra nibs and the extra rubber rings (to protect the measuring wheel) that come in the box. I’m talking about when you lift the semi-circle dome off the pencil-stand…Inside, are 12 colored nibs! And you can **** on those nibs to the pencils (yes, there are 2 pencils) with one hand. Yes, it’s easy, trust me. There are also 2 pencil stands. One has colored nibs; the other has black style nibs. AND, the bottoms of the pencil stands are erasers! I love these features.
The second feature you don’t see is part of the extension you attach to the NeoRuler. The metal arch/loop atop the NeoRuler (the one you’d attach to your keychain), pulls off. In its place you can snap on a much longer version of the same thing, that has the same metal arch/loop on one end. But here’s the surprise: this accessory has a magnetized door on the back that opens, and inside you can store the mini pencil and 4 nibs! That’s phenomenal. The same tidy engineering brain that created this device and its packaging, created this extremely elegant storage space. Kudos to HOZO’s design engineering department.
Because I don’t yet really fully understand how the NeoRulerGo functions — and there’s a lot to understand — I’ll mention now that the MEAZOR APP will make everything easier. Because if I had one complaint about this device it would be that the screen is small and not bright enough, and that the left and right button functions are confusing. The Meazor App, however, makes everything more accessible and intuitive. Oh, and you can switch the “handedness” of the device, in case your less dominant hand is more like an appendage.
I do have two serious disappointments, especially since I’ve been a pencil-writer all my life. Though the pencils that come with the NeoRulerGo have a nice weight in the hand, the nibs — both the colored nibs and the black nibs — are nowhere near dark enough. And I mean, why’d they bother to create such an elegant system then make their nibs practically useless? Believe me, anyone who’s a committed pencil-writer wants a lead that writes with authority. In my case, that’s a 4B, which is a genuinely dark lead. But these nibs don’t even quality as 2B. I’m tempted to deduct a star for this incredible oversight…but I just can’t. I love the NeoRulerGo too much.
