It can be used for a wide range of purposes, including construction, DIY, and handcrafts, because it is able to not only scan the layout of a room but also make measurements of pieces of lumber, fabric, and other items. By using it in conjunction with a dedicated application, it is possible to output the measurements in several formats so that they can be edited. The product is expected to broaden the use of digital tape measures".
